The Saturday Pink

Every result, every round — out on the whistle, read before the crowds are home.

Stop press — the wire is warming

The Federation Full-time edition

Ten works clubs. Eighteen rounds. Two a week, and the paper out on the whistle. THE SATURDAY PINK reports the Federation — a league of member-run elevens and the old firms, every match played inside Retro Delights. Every name in these pages is invented. Every result stands.

Managers Wanted

Clubs of the Federation stand under caretaker stewardship and seek a gaffer of their own. The Board grants the incoming manager £75,000 in Gate Money. The struggling club, the November arrival, the long climb — the oldest story in football, yours to write.

Rules of the Federation

One division of ten — member elevens and the old firms of the league, double round-robin, eighteen rounds.

Every manager plays their own matches. When two member clubs meet, both play the tie — each result stands for its own club.

Two rounds a week, and both close Monday morning. Miss a week and the caretaker takes the touchline at the club’s honest strength — no forfeit, no penalty, no asterisk.

The table is derived from results at every reading, never stored; where all else ties, places are settled by a one-match play-off at a neutral ground.
