The Legend Begins...
A long time ago, when cathode rays lit up living rooms and cartridges were sacred artefacts, the world of gaming was pure. No patches. No updates. No microtransactions. Just you, a controller, and sixty frames of possibility per second.
But time passed. The arcades fell dark. The cartridges gathered dust. The manuals were lost to attic boxes and car boot sales. The old ways were forgotten.
Until now.
RETRO DELIGHTS is the last stronghold — a place where the glow of a CRT is still sacred, where cheat codes still work, and where blowing into a cartridge is not a joke but a ritual. Your quest: explore every corner, unlock every secret, and prove that the golden age never truly ended.

Before setting out on your adventure, familiarise yourself with the control scheme. Mastery of these inputs is essential for survival.

Starting Inventory
Every adventurer begins their journey with basic equipment. Guard these items well — they are more powerful than they appear.
- Wooden Sword — A humble blade, but it strikes true. Use it to cut through the noise and find what matters.
- Small Shield — Protects against spoilers and bad takes. Blocks one unwanted opinion per day.
- This Manual — You are holding it. Contains maps, hints, and sealed secrets. Do not lend it to your mate Dave.
- Blank VHS Tape — Records your journey automatically. Visit The Rewind to play it back through 30 years of web design.
- Membership Card — Grants access to the Insert Coin section. Original content, long-form features, and zero ads.

The world of Retro Delights is divided into several distinct regions. Each contains its own challenges, secrets, and rewards.

Sealed Secrets
The following section contains sensitive information that may diminish the thrill of discovery. Only break the seal if you are truly stuck. A real adventurer finds these on their own.
HINT: It is dangerous to go alone. The three icons in the footer are ancient relics. Hold one for 3 seconds to transform the entire realm. Each yields a different power.
HINT: Burn the bushes to find secret caves! On the Timeline page, reach the final era and type IDDQD to unlock God Mode. Every event becomes visible at once.
HINT: The old man in the cave speaks truth: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A unlocks 30 lives. Use this code anywhere on the site for a hidden reward.
HINT: There is a game hidden inside the site. Find the Space Invader. It is closer than you think — and it has a global leaderboard.
Notes
